Wingz is committed to providing safe and reliable transportation services for our riders and drivers. As part of our partnership with Access2Care (A2C) in Virginia, we are implementing the following policy to ensure a smooth and professional experience. This policy outlines the specific steps and guidelines for handling trip assignments, driver conduct, and the process for managing trip sendbacks.
No-Tolerance Policy for Driver No-Shows + Sendbacks
Virginia drivers must adhere to strict guidelines to avoid penalties.
To reduce the number of sendbacks and ensure better trip coverage, Wingz is introducing a Sendback Penalty.
-
A Sendback Penalty will be charged to any driver who sends back a trip less than 48h before the pick-up time.
-
The same amount collected as the Sendback Penalty will be paid out as a bonus to the driver who accepts and completes the reassigned trip.
This policy is designed to reward reliability and support the drivers who step in to help cover trips.
Please note: If our investigation shows a pattern of repeat sendbacks, additional actions such as suspension or account deactivation may be applied.
Less than 24h Sendbacks | Any trip sent back less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup, regardless of the situation, will result in a $25 Sendback Penalty. |
Less than 48-Hour Sendbacks | Any trip sent back less than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup, will result in a $10 Sendback Penalty. |
Daily Manifest Check | Drivers must review their daily manifest and ensure they are available for all accepted trips. If a trip is no longer feasible, drivers must contact Wingz Support immediately, and they are responsible for ensuring that the trip is removed from their manifest. |
Levels of Policy Violations
Drivers are expected to maintain a professional and safe driving record. There are 2 levels of policy violations, with increasing severity:
- Level 1 Violation: Includes sendbacks processed less than 48 hours before the pick-up time and will result in sendback penalties and potential account suspension.
- Level 2 Violation: Severe or repeated violations, such as driver no-shows, safety infractions, rider complaints, or unprofessional conduct, will result in permanent deactivation of the driver’s account.
Maintaining a Positive Driving Record
Wingz encourages all drivers to familiarize themselves with these policies and maintain a high standard of service. By following these guidelines, drivers can ensure a successful partnership with Wingz and Access2Care during this important launch period.
Please Note: This policy is subject to change at any time. Wingz reserves the right to take appropriate action, including immediate account deactivation, for any violation deemed severe or posing a safety risk. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe and reliable service for our riders.
