A significant winter storm is forecasted to impact Arkansas this week, bringing heavy snow, sleet, and dangerously low temperatures. These conditions are expected to create hazardous driving situations, including icy roads, reduced visibility, and extreme cold that can pose risks to unprepared travelers.

- Statewide: All regions, including major cities such as Little Rock, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, and Jonesboro.
π Timing:
- Tuesday, Feb 18 β Wednesday, Feb 19: Heavy snow and sleet expected, with rapidly deteriorating road conditions.
- Thursday, Feb 20 β Friday, Feb 21: Continued extreme cold with potential for lingering icy patches on roads.
- Saturday, Feb 22 β Sunday, Feb 23: Gradual warming trend, but caution is still advised due to possible residual ice.

- Little Rock: Periods of rain and sleet on Tuesday; very cold with sunshine and some clouds on Wednesday; mostly sunny and very cold on Thursday; cold with times of clouds and sun on Friday; cloudy and cold on Saturday; warmer with plenty of sunshine on Sunday.
- Fayetteville: Snow with some sleet mixed in early on Tuesday; frigid with low clouds on Wednesday; sunny to partly cloudy and frigid on Thursday; mostly cloudy and very cold on Friday; cold with morning low clouds followed by some sun in the afternoon on Saturday; mostly sunny and chilly on Sunday.
- Fort Smith: Periods of snow mixing with sleet on Tuesday; very cold with clouds yielding to sun on Wednesday; brilliant sunshine but very cold on Thursday; mostly cloudy and very cold on Friday; after a cloudy start, sunshine returns on Saturday; plenty of sunshine on Sunday.
- Jonesboro: Cloudy, brisk, and cold with snow late in the afternoon on Tuesday; some snow in the morning on Wednesday; bitterly cold with plenty of sunshine on Thursday; partly sunny and very cold on Friday; cold with clouds to start, then sunshine returns on Saturday; chilly with plenty of sunshine on Sunday.
