The Wingz platform is designed with the safety of every rider and driver in mind. In furtherance of that goal, Wingz maintains the following Zero Tolerance Policies. Drivers or riders reported to have violated one or more of these policies may be promptly suspended pending investigation, and anyone found to have violated one or more of these policies will be permanently deactivated from the Wingz platform, in accordance with applicable law and Wingz's Terms and Conditions.
These policies apply to every trip on the Wingz platform, including our specialized medical and airport transportation services, and to every person involved in providing or receiving that transportation.
1. Impaired Driving
The use, possession, or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while using the Wingz platform — whether actively driving, en route to a pickup, or otherwise engaged in a Wingz trip — is strictly prohibited. Because many Wingz riders are medically vulnerable, elderly, or recovering from a procedure, impaired driving poses an outsized risk to the people who depend on us most, and is treated with zero tolerance regardless of the substance involved or the driver's stated reason.
2. Harmful, Dangerous, Unwanted, or Threatening Physical Contact
Physical contact with a rider that is harmful, dangerous, unwanted, or threatening is strictly prohibited on the Wingz platform. This includes any contact of a sexual nature, any contact intended to intimidate or control a rider, and any contact a reasonable person would consider aggressive or unsafe.
Limited physical contact may be appropriate in narrow situations where it is genuinely necessary for the safety of the ride or the rider — for example, assisting a rider into the vehicle, securing a car seat, or intervening during a medical emergency or an imminent safety risk.
3. Illegal Use of a Mobile Device While Driving
Drivers may not use a mobile device while driving in any manner prohibited by applicable state or local law. This includes handheld calls, texting, and other manual or visual phone use that the law does not permit while a vehicle is in motion. Drivers are expected to know and follow the mobile device laws of the jurisdictions in which they operate.
4. Discrimination
Wingz prohibits discrimination against any rider or other user of the platform on the basis of race, color, national origin, citizenship or immigration status, religion, creed, sex, gender identity or expression, sensory, physical, or mental disability, medical condition, marital status, age, sexual orientation, veteran or military status, or any other classification protected by state or federal law. This includes refusing or delaying service, treating a rider differently, or making derogatory remarks on the basis of any protected characteristic.
5. Sexual Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, and Sexual Abuse
Wingz has zero tolerance for sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual abuse, molestation, or sexual exploitation of any kind, directed at any rider, by any driver, independent contractor, or other person acting on Wingz's behalf. This is one of our most serious safety commitments, and it applies to every rider we serve — including minors (who are always accompanied by a parent, guardian, or caregiver), elderly riders, people with physical or cognitive disabilities, and medical patients who may be especially vulnerable during a trip.
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Unwanted verbal or physical sexual advances
- Leering, sexual gestures, or displaying suggestive objects, images, or messages
- Derogatory comments, sexual epithets, slurs, or jokes
- Graphic comments, suggestive messages, or invitations of a sexual nature
- Any physical touching or assault of a sexual nature, or impeding or blocking a rider's movement.
What "zero tolerance" means in practice
This standard applies no matter who raises the concern, when or where it happens (during the trip, at pickup or drop-off, or in any other Wingz-related interaction), or the driver's history or standing on the platform. A single substantiated incident is enough, and we do not require a rider to provide a polished or detailed statement before we act — we investigate based on whatever information is available, however it's provided, recognizing that many riders we serve may not be able to give a full account themselves.
Consequences and reporting
Any confirmed violation results in immediate and permanent removal from the Wingz platform, with no warning period or path back. Where appropriate and legally required, confirmed incidents are reported to law enforcement and relevant regulators, and affected brokers or client organizations are notified. Wingz prohibits retaliation of any kind against anyone who reports a concern in good faith or cooperates with an investigation.
6. Weapons
Carrying or brandishing a weapon while using the Wingz platform is prohibited to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where local or state law grants a specific, lawful exception (for example, a validly licensed concealed weapon transported in accordance with law), that exception governs; brandishing or displaying a weapon in a way that threatens or intimidates any user is never permitted under any circumstance.
