AUS Pick-Up Procedures

Effective March 1, 2022, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport expands the pick-up area by adding two new pick-up zones. In addition to the blue zone, a yellow, and a red zone will be available to all Transportation Network Companies:

Wingz Drivers are to pick up riders from the designated rideshare pick-up area ONLY which is located in the Ground Transportation Center, third floor of the parking structure, Blue, Yellow, or Red Zone.

Wingz Drivers are not allowed to pick up riders from Arrivals or other non-designated areas. Breaking this rule is a disservice to fellow drivers and sets the rider up for disappointment and frustration when they expect the next driver to break the rule as well. 

Violation of the pick-up procedure will result in temporary or permanent suspension of your Wingz Driver account.

The pick-up location can be accessed in several ways.

If coming from the Staging Area, turn right onto Rental Car Road and then onto Freight Lane. At the Spirit of Texas Drive stop sign, go straight onto Hotel Driver then turn right onto Presidential Blvd. Follow the Rental Car Return signs to the service road and enter the rental car facility pick-up area on Level G.

From the Auxiliary Staging Area, turn left onto Spirit of Texas Driver. At the 4-way stop sign, turn left onto Spirit of Austin and proceed through the roundabout to Presidential Blvd. Turn left onto Presidential Blvd and follow the Rental Car Return signs to the service road and enter the rental car facility pick-up area on Level G.

Upon arrival at ABIA, please coordinate the exact pick-up spot with your rider to ensure a smooth pick-up. Below is a map provided by ABIA depicting the new Taxi/Ride App pick-up location in blue.

Please remember to track the rider's flight, communicate with the rider prior to the pick-up to confirm the ride details, and text or call the passenger when you have arrived at the airport to help the process go smoothly.

AUS Drop-off Procedures

Rider drop-off locations are located curbside on the Upper Level of the terminal.  See below image for curbside passenger drop-off area.

Drivers shall only enter Airport property to pick-up or drop-off a passenger.  No TNC vehicle shall stage anywhere on Airport property.  There is no designated staging area.
