Feature: Consistent Proxy Numbers + Intro SMS Expanded to All Markets
We’ve expanded two key communication features across all supported markets to improve the rider and driver experience.
🚀 What’s New
- Consistent proxy numbers – If you and a rider have more than one trip together, you’ll keep the same shared number for every trip.

Automatic intro text – As soon as a trip is accepted or assigned, both you and the rider get a quick SMS that looks like it’s from the other person.
How It Works
- You’ll see: an automated text from the rider’s proxy number confirming the trip and opening the chat line.
- They’ll see: an automated text from your proxy number with your name, vehicle details, and trip info.
- These texts start the conversation instantly and protect everyone’s personal phone numbers.
- No action needed: This feature will go live on September 30, at 11 pm EST. Just accept trips as usual and the system will do the rest.

Why It Matters
This update simplifies communication by reducing confusion, missed messages, and duplicate contacts. Riders and drivers can now rely on a single, consistent number and clear introductions, building trust and improving trip coordination across all markets.

🚀 What’s New
1. We are updating how On-time Performance (OTP) is calculated.
What is changing
- An A-leg will be considered late if the member is dropped off after the scheduled appointment time.
- Previously, drop-offs up to 10 minutes after the appointment time were counted as on time.
What you will see in your driver app
- You might notice a small decrease in the OTP score shown on the home screen of your driver app because A-legs you dropped off within 10 minutes after the appointment will now count as late.
Why we are making this change
- To better align with our clients’ expectations and to support members in reaching care on time.
- To keep the OTP standard simple and consistent for everyone.
Tips to help you stay on time
- Build extra buffer time into your schedule for traffic and loading time.
- Confirm the trip with your member as early as possible to confirm pickup details and location.
- Avoid overloading your schedule with too many trips and risking lateness.
- If you have waited more than 10 minutes at the pickup location and the member has not arrived, follow the Rider No Show process.
2. Consistent Proxy Phone Numbers (Florida only)
Riders and drivers in Florida now keep the same proxy phone number for 30 days after a completed trip together, instead of receiving a new number each time.
3. Performance Optimizations
Geolocation tracking has been optimized, improving the overall speed and responsiveness of the app.
4. Instabug SDK Updated for iOS 26
The Instabug SDK has been upgraded for full compatibility with iOS 26, ensuring continued stability and issue reporting on the latest iOS version.

We're excited to introduce the all-new Wingz Driver App! This update includes key improvements designed to enhance your experience and ensure smoother trip management.
🚗 New Feature: Member Confirmation
We’re rolling out a brand-new Member Confirmation feature to help drivers confirm upcoming trips with members in advance.
Here’s what’s new:
✅ Confirmed vs. Not Confirmed Trips: Accepted rides are now categorized as either confirmed (you have successfully contacted the member and verified trip details) or not confirmed (you haven’t reached the member or the member declined, letting you know that transportation is no longer needed).
🔔 Action Banner for Pending Confirmations: If you have trips needing confirmation, a banner will prompt you to take action.
📞 Easy Contact Options: Call or text riders directly from the app to confirm trip details. We have updated the canned SMS messages to make it easier to reach out to members.
🔄 New Confirmation Flow: After contacting the rider, you can now update the status using three options:
- Yes, I confirmed with the rider: Trip details are verified. Wingz is notified.

Rider declined the trip: Transportation is no longer needed. Call to Wingz support to ensure the trip is removed from your accepted trip list.
- No, try again later: You will be able to attempt confirmation again later.
📅 Pickup Day: On the pick-up date, if you were unable to reach the member before, select the option: "No, but I will go to the pickup as scheduled."
The trip will remain active, and you will need to proceed to the pick-up location as scheduled.

We’re rolling out the latest Wingz Driver App update, packed with new features to enhance your experience and save time. Here’s what’s new:
1. Default Map Service - App Selection
We’ve fixed an issue where the Default Map Service settings didn’t display all installed navigation apps. Now, you’ll see the full list of available options and can select your preferred navigation app when providing trips.
To select your preferred app, click follow these steps:
1) Click on the "opinions" button in the lower right corner of the home screen of your driver app
2) Click on "Default Map Service"

We’ve updated the workflow for capturing odometer readings during drop-offs:
- New Order: The odometer reading pop-up now appears after the signature screen.

2. LegID Copy Function
Tap a LegID number on the ride detail screen to copy it.

3. Driver ID Badge - Mandatory for Verida drivers
If you provide transportation services for Verida members, it is now mandatory to have a physical ID badge for identification during your trips. You can now preview your professional ID badge directly from your app and create your own badge following our step-by-step instructions.

This update brings several new features designed to improve your experience and help you deliver excellent service to our NEMT members. It’s important that you familiarize yourself with these changes, as they directly impact your day-to-day work.

Key Updates in the Wingz App:

Notes Visibility
Notes are now visible directly on the trip screen. You no longer need to click the note icon to see them. If you want to expand a note for further details, you can still click on it.

Updated Pickup Times and Appointment Times
For A-Legs (to appointments), the pickup time is now labeled Estimated (Est.) Pick-up Time, as it's based on an estimated pickup time.
For B-Legs (return trips), the pickup time shows Scheduled Pickup Time, which takes into account any delays from the A-Leg.
Appointment times are also listed which is the latest dropoff time when the member is expected for their appointment.
Note: More than 10 minutes late to an appointment will be marked as a late trip.

New On-Time Performance (OTP) Icons and details
Dropping off members on or before their appointment time is crucial in maintaining a high OTP score. High OTP scores can mean access to higher driver incentives, access to exclusive Standing Orders, and more.

Dashboard Enhancements
The home page now features a dashboard at the top, displaying:- Month-to-date and last month's earnings, including driver incentives.
- Number of trip legs completed in the current month and past month, excluding member no-shows.

On-Time Performance (OTP) data with rules explained.
If you want to see trips where you were late, you can view them in the Ride History screen using the new filter for Late Trips. These will show in red with the number of minutes you were late.

New Client Filter on Request Screen
For drivers who have access to both, MTM and Verida - you can now filter trips by client (e.g., MTM, Verida) on the request screen. This is especially useful in regions like Georgia where multiple brokers operate.

Seatbelt Safety Confirmation
We’ve added an extra confirmation after you swipe to pick up a member, requiring you to confirm that all members are buckled up with their seatbelts.
App Update FAQ – Common Questions
Q: Will I still need to click the notes icon to view trip details?
A: Notes will appear automatically in the app. If the note is cut off, tap into the note to expand the note, if needed.
Q: What does “Estimated Pickup Time” mean for A-Legs?
A: Estimated Pickup Time is an estimate provided by Verida of how long it could take to get the member to their appointment. Plan your route and your pickup time according to what will get the member to their destination on time.
Q: How is “Expected Pickup Time” different for B-Legs?
A: Expected Pickup Time is when we anticipate the member to be ready. Remember, always confirm with the member before picking them up as appointment times can change.
Q: What happens if I’m late for a trip?
A: Late arrivals increase the risk of the member missing their appointment and will negatively affect your On-Time Performance (OTP) score. Wingz is closely monitoring your score and will support you in maintaining the highest level of service reliability. Please call Wingz support if there is a delay.
Q: How does the new dashboard on the home screen help me track performance?
A: The new dashboard will share your previous month’s monthly earnings as well as your current month’s earnings. Months are calculated from the first of the month to the end, or current date (if you’re looking at the current month). It will also share your trip count for the current and previous month.
Q: How do I view late trips and how will they affect my OTP?
A: Go to the Ride History screen on your driver app and filter for Late Trips.
Q: What if there are trips that I was late for because the member made me late?
A: Let Wingz know by sending an email with the trip details, what happened, and leg ID to nemtsupport@wingz.com
Q: What is the new "Client filter", and how can I use it to my advantage?
A: Not all drivers can drive with MTM - you first will need to go through MTM-specific credentialing and have an inspection. If you’re eligible, you will be able to filter between both clients/brokers.
Q: I want to drive with both MTM and Verida, but I don’t know how.

Q: What is the purpose of the seatbelt confirmation?

You will now see the distance from your current location to the pick-up address for each trip on the "Requests" screen.
Compare Mileage at a Glance:
Tap the "i" icon next to the fare to see the total loaded miles (estimated trip distance) and the pick-up distance side-by-side.
Trips Sorted by Distance:
By default, your trip requests are now sorted by how close you are to the pick-up location.
This update should make it faster and easier to find the trips that fit your schedule and preferences.

What was released?
Today's Driver app release features various improvements including a set of new filters that will make it significantly easier to find and accept the trips that work for you. By combining these filters, you will be able to focus on the trips that are the most relevant for you.
Filters are available using the filter icon, located in the upper right corner of the "Requests" screen on your driver app.

What was released? The Requests screen now displays the expiration time for each trip, and by default is sorted by the expiration time (previous version were sorted by pickup date). There is also a new filter button on the top right of the screen which allows you to change the sort order between pickup date and expiration date. The change was made because of feedback from Wingz drivers that it was impossible to know when the trip would disappear off our platform. With this added feature, it is transparent when the trip will drop off our platform.
