Your Path to Activation
Wingz Arkansas Onboarding Checklist
Here’s exactly what’s involved in getting activated as a Wingz driver — so nothing comes as a surprise. These happen in order, and we’ll be with you at every step.
1Vehicle Inspection
A 19-point vehicle inspection is standard across all NEMT platforms. It confirms your vehicle is safe and road-ready.
• Already inspected in the last 12 months by Uber, Lyft, a certified mechanic, or a dealership? Send that over and we can use it.
• Otherwise, use Rideshare Mechanic — a virtual inspection over your phone camera, about 10 minutes.
Your discounted cost: $15 — Wingz covers the rest.
2CTAA PASS Basic Training
This credentialing course is required because you’re transporting people with medical needs, and the state holds NEMT providers to a higher standard. It covers passenger safety, mobility assistance, and trip protocols.
• About 6 hours, completed online at CTAA.org. Use Google Chrome on a laptop or desktop.
• Already CTAA certified within the last year? Send over your certificate and we can accept it.
Your discounted cost: $25.
3Background Check & MVR
Fully covered by Wingz. You’ll receive a consent form — sign and return it promptly and we’ll get the check moving right away.
4Drug Screen
Also fully covered by Wingz. Once your background check consent is back, we’ll send you a pass for a nearby testing facility.
• Your pass expires in 24 hours. Plan to take the test the same day you receive it.
5Wingz Trainings
Complete a short set of trainings that cover what it means to drive for Wingz:
• HIPAA training
• Wingz Driver App training
• Being a Wingz Driver
6Payment Setup
Set up how you’ll get paid, so your earnings are ready to go from day one.
7Activation
We’ll finalize your requirements together, and you’ll have an activation call with one of our specialists to help set you up for success.
